ht1 spark plugs fouled out wtf??? and wet floor board

I went out to the car yesterday this morning and the car started then immediately died try to start it again and it would just turn over. went to a through few things to see if it was fuel related or if there was a problem with the two step causing the COP's not to work. Nothing seemed to be wrong so I pulled the plugs and they were fouled out. My question is what would cause the plugs to do this the car ran fine the day before with no hesitation or missing. then I thought maybe the two step at the track has been hard on them but I haven't been to the track in several weeks and have not used the two step the plus the plugs are only a month old I changed them when I did my cams. I could see this if I was a fi car but Im not.

did you use anti seize when you re-installed the plugs? if you did and weren't careful about only applying it on the barrels, perhaps it ran down on the electrode....also it's has to be nickel anti seize not copper

First of all, how did you determine they were 'fouled'. I hear a lot of guys on the board say 'fouled' when their plugs are actually 'burned'. Ether way, they have to be changed, but it makes a huge difference in what is wrong or what is happening.

Too rich - fouling. Too lean - burning

Wet and black = fouled (rich)
Orange and dry = burned (lean)

Most of the 'fouled' plugs I see are in fact, 'burned', and not 'fouled'.

gas fouled soaking wet dried the plugs out and blew the cylinders out with compressed air. took the car and had it checked out at gearheads and we data logged it and drove it around for about a half hour under different circumstances could find nothing wrong so I don't know.

Well definitely went rich - that's a start at least. After you replaced them, it didn't happen again? Do you have a FP gauge? Did you notice a spike? Did you feel the car or hear the car do anything 'weird' before you fouled them?

no it did nothing unusual that i could hear or feel. I was able to reuse the same plugs though and the fuel trims while driving went no hire than 1.03 and no lower that 0.98 stayed at 1.00 most of the time like I said the funny part is it was the first time I started the car that day and we have had alot of rain lately I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

YES IT CAN!!!!!!!!! You have a water leak that you need to get fixed ASAP. Many people have had this issue, I think there is even a TSB on it. Pull the cowl off and see if the drain is stopped up on the passenger side. The SJB is getting wet which IS NOT GOOD.
