Been fighting this clutch going on two months now mostly due to my laziness. But I finally decide to tackle it again third time..A little rundown of what Ive done..Bought an exedy 500 clutch from brenspeed, installed it with the new tob, clutch would not release call everyone they all tell me to bleed the line so I pump it for 1 week straight still nothing,I go out and buy a new OEM tob install it samething pump it for a week still nothing,,I install a ram tob install it per the instructions.. Still wont release,,So now I drilled a hole in the side of the bellhousing to take some measurements,,Ill be damned the snap ring on the slide for the TOB is even with the clutch fingers. So I take out the ram tob and install the stock on with a .150 ram spacer I have and its at the same place even with the clutch fingers..Anyone have a can of gas and a match...Bring the marshmellows..LOL...Or any Advice...

will the pedal move at all or does it still push in and just the clutch doesnt release. I know its obvious but could be the slave cylinder. or if these cars are like all the ls powered gm cars the stock master cylinder on the firewall actually swells instead of forcing fluid to the slave cylinder when you have a stiff ass pressure plate

I fixed it with a 1/2 inch ram spacer behind the TOB .. Amazing no ones ever heard of this before..even exedy..I guess I have a one off car..LOL anyways my car is shifting like butter now..

Wow, I've heard of some people not having to install a spacer to having to install a half inch one. What a wide variation. Don't know what to plan for when I install my clutch (Mach 600).

There is a lot of info here on this problem, it comes down to installing the clutch properly, that includes measuring. You can not just bolt on aftermarket clutches and expect them to work. There are too many different designs.
