lastcallracing.com has some paxton kits pretty cheap atm. Around 4k for a full 1200 setup, meaning right around 390-410 rwhp.

It really depends on how much money you want to spend. Intake, tune, and gears is the usual beginning stuff.

If I was starting over again with a bone stock auto, I would do CAI/tune, gears, and converter before anything else. And of course drag radials.

Gears; 3.73s or 4.10s. Xcal3, cai, exhaust, udps, and cmcvs would all net some good power. Of course a set of sticky tires.

FIRST thing to do is decide what direction you want to take the car.

That will determine what mods you should do and what not to. Think it through and spend your money only once.

Best advice right here. My first stang i spent so much money and had to swap parts in and out because i didnt research enough.

These message boards are your best tool. Use them, and take everyones advice then form your own to what you want to do with your car.

These guys pretty much summed it all up. First decide how far you plan on going. If you plan on s/c or turboing later especially. That can help save you a lot of money on things you wont need, or will need to get a certain brand of. IE not needing lt headers for turbo, only certain intakes will work with certain s/c, most intakes not working with turbo kits at all, etc.

Once you decide that you can make some posts and see what mods are compatible. But as the others said for just basic boltons and staying n/a, a cold air intake/tuner/tune combo, with 4:10 gears and a tq converter are a great start.
