I say not both because you don't need both. But its your car and you've had bad experiences before so do you. Probably won't hurt anything other than your wallet.
My wallet is definitely hurting, but that is why I am doing both I can afford that now, but not to replace the rearend if something were to happen later on.
Is there a preference? I will be driving on the street a lot, and plan on racing as much as I can.
