Hey peeps,

So here's the issue. I have a 2012 Roush Stage 3. It came with a Roush TVS. Long story short, engine blew up, rebuilt it with 9.5 cr and now I have a Paxton installed.

The problem is, I bought a Boss intake manifold since the car came with none (tvs installed from factory) and then I bought a stock throttle body to connect all that to since the one I have doesn't work with the boss im (it was the twin 60mm roush included).

My installer cannot get the connector to hook for some reason. What I understood was that the connector itself is different. I'm not sure if it's the TPS sensor coming from the engine, or if it was changed during the Roush TVS install at all, or something else entirely. And I cannot figure out what I need to buy in order to make this work. I am a newb when it comes to cars but I'm learning quickly.

Here's a couple of pics of what he's referring to, I hope someone could point me in the right direction really, as I'm beginning to lose my patience.

Hmmm ok, I see they make you install a throttle position sensor extension harness while you install the TVS, which changes the connector. I don't have the OEM connector since this kit was installed in the U.S., do you guys know how I can get this part or how to make this work at all ?

Thanks for the tip I'll contact S&H. I hope they can help.

On a side note, and I'm ready to try anything. Would buying the FRPP 90mm TB fix the issue? Or any of Accufab and BBK offerings?

Yes, I had Jeremy with S&H Performance make me a new wiring harness that has OEM plugs so no splicing anything.

Don't even waste a dime on a TB. The OEM one is more than enough. The 90mm FRPP is practically impossible, if not impossible, to tune so definitely stay away from that one.

The Roush harness is just an extension, If you follow it bac you will se where it is plugged into the stock tb connection, you can also just make an extention and use the stock TB plug.

Oh ok, so if I don't have the stock TB plug, can i maybe connect the wires another way ?

I'm having difficulty finding the stock TB connector. I contacted Roush and they sent me one which was lost in the mail (purely due to my bad luck) and now they said they'll send another but no response yet as of when. I don't know where else I can get it.

OP, looks like you have a handle on this, but some others aren't totally clear. The Roush harness is an extension, however you also have to change out the connector shell on the OEM harness to a different one which then mates with the Roush extension. No cutting wires, both connectors use the same pins, it's just the plastic shell that changed. So what the OP needs is the original type connector shell, then the harness will again plug into an OEM throttle body, just like any stock GT would.

Yeah it is the canister purge valve connector. I guess it gets changed during the TVS installation also, so I'm gonna have to find a way to buy the stock connector.

It's turning into a nightmare installing this Paxton.

Pic of my purge valve when I did my Boss IM install.

If you haven't contacted Jeremy, do so. He knows all the OEM connectors cuz he's fly like that!

Unless Roush does it different when they build them in house you stock plugs are there they both will follow the pass side fuel rail all the way down to the front they might be under loom or tape but both connectors you are looking for should be there. Roush sends extensions for both of those plugs.

Thanks for the pics! I emailed S&H but they haven't gotten back to me yet. I'll send him a PM on here.

Well I have no idea also, I'll take a look on Saturday since it's in the garage and they're closed tomorrow. I hope they're there. Thanks for the advice.

You've been real helpful guys, I can't thank you enough. I'll update this thread on Sat and will let you know how it goes.
