That's a pretty big undertaking! Glad to see folks doing their own mods!

But DAMN! That's a small ass garage! Makes the job that much harder. I did an engine swap on a Nova in a garage that small. Wasn't fun.

yeah, the garage isn't very wide but it is deep enough to get the job done. This install is definetly a little more complicated than what I thought it would be.

That was te only thing that saved me when I did the engine in that Nova. The garage was deep enough to give me room to stack and store shit. You have my respect brother, that's a tough/complicated install no matter what size your garage is!

Do you already have a canned tune to get you to a tuner or will you have it towed?

Sorry about the garage thing. It sounds kinda offensive when I read it the second time around, but I certainly didn't mean it that way! Lord knows I've had my share of working in a single car garage! Hope I didn't offend.

not offended at all, I have pulled motors it this garage and yeah you are always looking for room to stack stuff.

I talked to my tuner and he didn't want to do a canned tune since I am 3 hrs away from him. So, i guess i have to tow it.

You can't leave the intake piping off and drive it?

i am also putting on a set of CMDPs, 80lbs injectors, GT500 fuel pumps, and changing to a pmas maf. that is a lot of stuff to write a canned tune for to drive 3hrs.

Here are some pics of the progress at the end of today

Tried to get a ground clearance pic but it didn't really turn out

And here are a few more of my little garage. The hood hanging on the wall is off of my 2000Gt that had a vortech on it. That car had a little run in with a power pole while in the air one night. It is hanging there to remind me how bad drinking and driving is.

Are you lowered at all? About how many inches of ground clearance would you say you have?

I am not lowered at all. I just measured and everything has about 4 inches. The lowest part is the y pipe but i am going to try and get that a little higher when I can get the car to a lift. It was real tight getting that part on with just the front of the car on jackstands

I am not sure that I have the pipes oriented quite right. If you look closely at the pics(hopefully you can see) it looks like the up pipe is touching the front crossmember right next to one of the brake lines. Also, do I have the first pipe out of the compressor correct. The first coupler between the first two charge pipes is pretty close to the up pipe. Any input is appreciated. Might try to loosen things up this weekend and see if I can "tweek" it a little.

Once you have everything where you want it just bend the lines by hand for the best clearance, they are fairly easy to bend.
