sorry didn't mean to put exclamations lol, Not sure why it didnt work for you but it's a one way install lol. makes me wonder the programable ones don't have the brown wire, they have 2 red ones, so your brown is being used as a power? it just doesn't make sence.

Yup, I used the brown to car side of harness, orange to pump side of harness, red to car battery, black to ground

The original way that didnt work was no car battery wire to BAP at all, red to car side of harness, orange to pump side, black to ground, and taped up the thin brown wire as I didnt think it was used.

I dont know whats what anymore though. Im confused too. lol

yea intersting! now your BAP is running is getting power even when car is off. The way you originally had it is the correct way of wiring the Non programable one.

Well... We need to figure this out... lol

Someone who is a elctronic techy needs to jump in here and explain WHY my BAP did not work when wired the way stang8psi wired his, and WHY mine did work when I wired it the other way with the brown wire.

Could be.

I had the small brown wire on my specific BAP, instead of the small red one. Felt like an idiot for a minute when I read the installation manual a few times and couldn't figure it out.

Quick question to all the paxton owners.

How is your gas mileage in the city? I rarely do any freeway driving and most of it is stop and go from home to work. I barely get 12mpg these days even when driving gently. I do have 3.73 gears.

Idk what's up with their baps but I could never get any boost referenced vortech bap to prime my car. Finally had it replaced with the universal and it works every time.

I'll have to double check next time I take it out but IIRC about 13-14 city.

I was told brown was not to be used and the power was to be supplied at the green purple wire! also the orange is on the pump side of the harness! my car starts fine and also put a 30 amp fuse under hood!

Just as instructions stated except I used the supplied relay.

Ok, seriously... lol. Now Im wondering if my BAP is just wired in and not actually doing its job, but passing the main harness signal through it.

I have stang8psi wiring it the way I originally did it, his works but mine didnt, then I tried it the way Kenaizer did his specific BAP, and it fired up, and now I have jukens telling me he used the relay in the universal one and his works that way.

I need a definitive answer as to how this thing is SUPPOSE to be done considering there are three ways the universal is wired up between myself, jukens, and stang8psi, and all 3 are in running cars. This baffles me. Surely they cant all be correct.

This is where Im at with this... The original way didnt work, but Im gonna give it a go again to make sure, then if that doesnt work, Im gonna do the relay way that jukens did, and if that doesnt work, its going back to the way I had it or I might just take it out to the woodline and shoot it.

Jukens did it this way I believe
