I have a 2014 GT/CS with a auto trans and 373 rear. I was looking into swapping a 2018 intake manifold to get more power and Torque. Has anybody done this and is it worth it.
What kind of increase can i expect in HP and TQ.
Thanks

All of the performance gain is from 5500rpm upwards, with the biggest gain from 6500-7500rpm, and this allows you to raise the rev limiter from 7000rpm to 7500rpm. Below 6500rpm, the torque curves of the gen 1 and the gen 3 intake manifold trade blows so there's essentially no real gain in peak TQ, though the TQ peak is raised from 4250 to 4600rpm. Expect a ~15-20rwhp gain in peak HP with the peak raised from 6500 to 7000rpm.
Keep in mind that you'll need to disable the IMRCs on the gen 3 manifold and get a revised tune.

I didn't really notice much of a difference in the car when I did the swap. Like the graph Dino shared, it's all gained way up in the rpm's, so you'll likely not notice any difference just driving it around town. I ported my own and made my own imrc lockouts.

your oem engine cover will not fit afterwards either unless you modify the hold down tabs on your cover, and the engine cover for the 18/19 is not very attractive IMO

Been thinking about doing this swap. To gain top end RPMs for open track HPDE. Does not look like its worth it if you are not tracking the car.

Leaving it with stock intake totally agree with Juice- My wife and only take it out for cruising and car shows now. We don't go to the track anymore.
Thanks guys appreciate the info
