<--------------- Front of car

I'm planning on mounting our production stuff in the same-ish place. I was going to use that "tab" that hangs down off the frame rail that can be seen in the pic peeking out from behind the pump. I'm hoping for one mount with maybe different mounting points and if necessary a secondary bracket or something so the Stewart, Davies Craig, 13' GT500 and Bosch pumps can all be mounted.

did you every find/test fit other fitting for the saleen? The ones you PM m e still had .40" internal passage?

I had the intercooler machined for an npt thread it is actually over 1" id.
The case was opened up so the new fitting would fit.
I haven't slapped it all together yet, pissing around trying to scrounge together a cooling system layout obviously.

The Roush pump is the same Bosch pump (4 gpm under load with the usual small hoses and restrictions, draws 4A) as used in the 07-12 GT-500 cars. In theory, a small IC will work, provided you increase the flow rate through it, to increase heat extraction. (100% distilled water + water wetter will also increase heat extraction inside the IC). But the extracted heat has to then be transferred to the air.... via the HE. Unless the HE is bigger, a larger pump might not buy you much, if any. But that 13/14 GT-500 HE is huge, at 3.125" thick...and then you can really take advantage of the higher flow rate pump. Hood vents may well enhance airflow through the myriad of rads a bit. So would leaving the eng fan on high speed. (put defrost on, set temp control to anywhere you want, cabin fan to lowest setting, and the eng fan will default to high speed. Or put AC on, with air coming out anywhere, same deal, eng fan defaults to high speed).

I assume you are using Chevron 94 (no ethanol in it) being in Vancouver. 8 of us here across the pond in Victoria have had clogged fuel pump socks...and we all use chev 94. Mine was the latest fiasco. One day the car would not go into boost, it would gag, with boost gauge just a hair to the left of zero. My FPDC was sky high, like 96%, just prior to the sock issue. Installed the 10 gauge wire mod..and it made zero difference...then got worse, like 98%. 2 weeks later it gagged. Cleaned the sock out, and FPDC dropped to 80% @ 6 krpm. ( 36% @ idle). You should see the crap floating about the bottom of the tank. I put in a call to the plant manager at their refinery in Burnaby.

I picked up a take off 2013 Gt500 HE just to fab up for now, I am still going to put in the biggest HE I can get, which will DOB's when he gets it into production.

I briefly looked into the hood vents and I will revisit it later. And yes, Chev 94. I really hate removing the fuel pumps, crossing my fingers.

Saw your products on line. Some really impressive workmanship. Also read your article on boost with regard to the Coyote. Appreciate all the effort put into it. Helped in aiding my direction with my setup down the road. Thanks for doing that. Good luck to you on your future success with this huge setup. Very nice. I look forward to seeing your success stories.

I'm starting to lean towards keeping the 3/4" hoses and trying the Gt500 HE and pump until DOB gets his products out to market.

I started looking at everything and trying to find the perfect solution, almost convinced myself to start a wire tuck and battery relocation.

SMH

I have a stock saleen blower on the shelf, I'll throw it on and see what kind of gains the Gt500 gear will net be itself.

Everything stays in the same place for that.

You talking the 2.3L Series VI I think they called it? I had one on my 05. Nice unit. brenspeed sold a package rate 580FW that made 11-13psi using 39# injectors running 93 on a 3V. pretty sure that was on the standard little degas res, pump and HE.

yes it's a series VI, the one on there now was rebuilt and ported not too long ago.

I haven't pumped water through the machined IC yet, but I have put a few wraps of teflon tape and pressured it up to 50psi.
It held over night.
So I have some confidence in the fittings and machining.

Not my first choice for a final product, but the best I could do where I live.

Nice. I don;t know how many people at cruise ins would mistake mine for "just an intake" because of how they were made.

Nice. Will be interesting to see how efficient it would be with your He creation and runnign E85. Running a 3V 4.6? Done any lower end upgrades?

I'm just curious to see what the OEM GT500 gear can produce in terms of AIT improvements.
I was using the non fan AFCO dual pass as a HE prior to all this nonsense.

Bottom end is forged, heads cams yada yada, bought it new and I can't bear to part with it.
Fuck It's 10 years old

^^^ Well heck yeah! Now you have a good base heat removal source, funnel about 15psi through that thing with the proper upper and lower OD and move some air! Running ARP head studs? Crank it up more! I have a friend here locally making 750 RWHP with a procharger setup on his 06 3 V all forged, blah, blah, blah. I'm the low guy in the group making low to mid 500's. But that's enough to sucker a mid-life crisis Corvette owner in once in a while. LOL! LIFE IS GRAND! Would love to see that thing make 560+. I miss the howl of my old saleen 2.3 Series VI at WOT. The 2.3L TVS units are a bit quieter.

Thanks for the kind words. I don't make any money yet, so it sure is nice to hear positive things.:hail:

Im sure DOB HE will be better but as it not available I purchased the 2013 HE ($225) and pump ($250) for my car. I'll have a bigger HE and better pump than 99% of people for $475.

Following to see if you think opening the saleen IC to 1" is worth the cost...

Right now this is the best and least expensive option. And it makes a big difference. Those 13' HE's will be getting scarce at some point though. I had a bunch at one point. I'm all sold out now.

Me too.
