Sone of you may have read this same issue on a different forum which will remain nameless...but, the vibration is back. I was driving down to LA Thursday and a Corvett and I decided to play for a bit...He sped off, i dropped into 4th, puched it, and BOOM instant eye shaking vibration. I was dong about 60 whern i dropped, and by punchng it I get an instant 80-90mph push. (thanks Ravi), vibration is very bad at 100-110, decided not to push it. At 80mph it is non existant. So it looks like i drive back worry free of tickets...but my tail is between my legs when sparing with others ...anyone have any thoughts?

thanks

It's a DriveShaft Shop driveshaft...which was repaired by DriveShaft Specialists in Concord. they trued it, and replaced both the U-joints with Spencer. I called Grants and Dans (person who installed the gears) and they dont recall the pinion angle

It seems every car that has gotten within fifty yards of the SYT develops problems, Michael's, then mine, now yours...

It sure sounds like pinion angle to me. I would only get vibration at 110+ mph but when it hit 122 mph it felt like I was taking off in a 747. Adam made some slight (very slight) adjustments to the pinion angle and it drastically improved. I still get some vibration at 120 mph but nowhere near like it was.

Now I also had this issue with the manual when I had the JPC aluminum DS. The car would vibrate at 80 mph and get progressively worse with speed. By 110 mph - it was the 747 takeoff scenario again.

I took it to the company that made the DS for JPC (it's local here in so cal) and they trued it, balanced it, and said it was perfect. Put it back on the car and no change. Swapped the DS for the Powerhouse DS and vibration was instantly gone so obviously not all DS are created equal either.

I called a few places here in Redlands,(was gonna call Adam and introduce myself...but .....) and obviously all we did was talk about the problem...Maybe i got a lemon DS, but i had it trued and ect....So i drive up sunday, put back on my orginal DS on tuesday, and take it to the shop...I just may have to get a different DS, but it makes no sense...I will mention pinion angle to my guy... it's weird thoug, i was praticing launches today, no take off, even at 90+ (747 take off is perfect analogy) I see sunday, on the way back up.. Maybe i did somthing dragracing...
