Jounce Bumpers have a life span

And it's definitely less than 7 years on my car. Yikes. The streets in my area are rough and lower clearance from my Steeda Sport springs definitely did a number on them.

I ordered the Ford Racing ones as replacements and got them installed today.

Somehow I expected more clearance:

Same thing happened to me. I went to cut them down since I dropped the car and one of them fell out of the mount. Completely rotted away.

Those are too tall for your Steeda sport springs. Either cut them or get the Eibachs.

Great thread, thanks! My only worry is that if I cut them too much my Al driveshaft might rub. I can see some light rub marks on it so obviously the old bumpstops were just barely allowing it to contact. On the other hand you see the condition my old stops were in.

They probably would have lasted longer if I had known I should have cut them
