I'm sorry to say this but that shouldn't be their job? aren't they the "tuners"?

If you are a paying customer, if they can't get it solved aren't there any other tuners worth around?

it will get solved, i havent had to pay anything yet since what i wanted done obviously isnt done yet.. they just havent ever run into this before is all. i figured i would look around here and see if anyone else has run into this problem.

Look, is not a problem that you can pinpoint out without having data and to get the right data and analysis you should have someone with experience on the area, I would say you to contact an experienced tuner that actually works with these cars a lot and know the logic pretty well, the tools available can give all the information needed if the guy behind them know how to use them fully.

That sounds like the same issue I'm having. It shows on my dyno graph too. Right around 4300 rpm 'til 5000 rpm there's like a huge dip where it looks like timing gets pulled out. I have Comp Cams Thumpr Stg 2's. A/F is dead nuts too. We have yet to figure it out. If you come up with anything, please do share. I don't know jack about data logging, all I have is my diablo handheld to data log with, and I don't have the connections to put any of it from the handheld onto my PC, not that I have the software to view the stuff either.

I really wish I could figure it out, it's not that I make bad #'s (makes 330whp/325wtq) it's the 700 rpms of power band that I'm losing that's pissing me off. Any pointers on data logging that I can help out with, I'd be glad to do.

well i have my dyno sheets, but i cant upload them.. it keeps saying "invalid". we are suspecting that its because he forgot to put imrc deletesin while he was setting things up..

Wait, your tuner did not account for the cmcv delete plates in the tune?

I am having this problem now, and we wittled it down to the converter locking up..Here is my latest dyno..A/F is fine, spark table is fine, no knock, no pre-detonation, nothing. It's the converter...

Mine is a manual. Are you saying my clutch is slipping and causing this?

I know my posts sounded like an ass but this is the kind of things I was afraid of were a tuner should stop and say, wait here is something wrong and check and collect data, also some of these things won't trigger a light until a fixed number of events happen.

you ddint break my heart.. thats why i post here.. i get no BS replies!! lol anyways.. went back to teh dyno lastnight, first run w/ no adjustments netted 299whp.. then 304whp through the stall and auto.. problem was that he didnt put imrc deletes in the tune. overall not TO bad.. a/f was right on again.. then the nitrous tune is a MONSTER!! he hit that 125hp shot and the tires broke loose on the dyno..LOL then we turned up the BAP some, got the a/f good, and hit the spray again.. got 404whp and 426ft lbs torque.. then tinkered w/ it some more, and the dyno stopped recording after 4k rpms for some reason.. hes pretty sure im making right around 425whp on the spray though.. he said once they get the problem w/ the dyno fixed i can bring my car back and they wont charge me since he couldnt give me any #'s.. car runs and drives GREAT!! havent hit the spray on the street yet.. but he was nailing it around 3500 rpms's, the window switch turns the spray on at 4k rpm's and all i have to say is HOLY CRAP it hits hard! the car didnt get to the 450whp goal i wanted.. but it feels LOTS better.. even N/A. idle is 500-600rpm's and sounds gooood.. vidoes attached for your entertainment..

So, with the correction of the cmcv plates you netted 304 rwhp? Any more dips around 4500?
