So I already tried the search but I could not find the answer. Brenspeed has the Lakewood 50/50 70/30 pretty cheap. I want to know if anybody has tried a before and after times with these. I don't DD my car, and I want something that will be OK on the street and hook on the strip. I have steeda ultra lites and a bunch of bolt ons.

Besides, Lakewoods sound like my old foxbody days. Thanks for the help.

It was suggested for me to try some Lakewood or Strange adjustables. Lakewoods are cheaper but I went ahead and got the Strange. Having the adjustability is awesome. I love the way they feel on the strip and on the street. They are also very easy to adjust, just a twist of a knob. Car does not need to be jacked up either.

Lakewood

So brenspeed has these for a great deal. My question is has anybody done a before and after with these. I tried a search and could not find an answer. So what do you guys think. I have a full bolt on 07 GT that I only drive on occasion. I just want something that is decent on the street, and hooks like a bastard at the strip.

Thanks for the help

I have the 50/50 shocks from Lakewood. I made only that change on the car and went back to the track. While I didn't go from cutting 2.0 60' to 1.8 60' times, I did notice the car was more consistent in the 60' and there was no bouncing or unloading.

They're a good shock for the money IMO, but I've had mine on less than a year and they're leaking on me already. My car is a daily driver, but if you only drive on occasion I think you should be good for a long while.

Once mine go I'm going with the Strange Single Adjustable unit.

Psfracer's review is the reason I went with these the first time. I don't remember him saying he dropped his 60', but I do remember him saying he went 10's on them with 1.4 60' times and had no issues on the street. I'm not saying he didn't say his 60' didn't drop, just that I didn't read that part, or don't remember lol. At any rate his review was enough for me to pull the trigger on them.

Yeah, the Strange adjustables are nicer than the Lakewoods. The adjustability is useful.

These are excellent street/strip dampeners:

I had the QA1s and switched to the Strange (mainly because I got a good deal on a strange front and rear setup). I prefer the Strange. QA1s were functionally identical, but noisier.
