Don't know if this goes here, but I want to know if anyones ever had any issues with latemodelrestoration I ordered rtr wheels with tires then send me a confirmation stating I also paid for 2 day air. Simple?? No, the next day I get an email saying the wheels I ordered are not in stock and it will be an additional 7-10 business days I figure what the hell I've waited this long i can wait 2 more weeks. I email him today seeing when they should be coming so I know to plan accordingly. The guy tell me I'm looking at the end of October. I went and ordered sept 7 and 2 day air, to 7-10 business days + 4 business days for shipping to me, to the end of October??? WTF??!!!! Let me know what you thunk I should do or if I should cancel and order elsewhere.

To be honest it might not be their fault because these wheels are in high demand right now even with our year mustang. You will probably be waiting same amount of time with any other company and if you can't wait that long then ask for a refund and buy some new ones.

LRS is a good company, I prefer dealing with them when I can.

Your options are to cancel the sale and see if someone else has them. Or tell LRS you want the 2 day shipping refunded and wait.

My guess is if LRS is out, everyone else probably is too. Did you buy them through this forum ? Jarod is a vendor here, he'd be a good guy to ask.

I've ordered things online before only to find out the part was back ordered, hell it even said "IN STOCK' when I clicked on the part. So now I always ask first; "Is this part truly in stock and ready to ship"?

No I just found them on the LRS site with the nitto 555 and it said ships our same day. The thing that pisses me off is that first it was 7-10 business days now it's like 35 business days. Who's jarod? I'd like to ask him

It will say that on there because it might not be run by computers someone would have to manually enter that they are not in stock. Like on AmericanMuscle it is run by computer so if something isn't in stock you will know about it but with LRS they probably don't have that option.

I've ordered from them two times, both times items was in stock only to get a email saying they were back ordered.

That was enough from me and I will not consider them again.

It's a trick some of these so called suppliers use to get your business, Hell, you could order anything from me and tell you it's in stock and then tell you it's back ordered, I order, mark it up and send to you.....It's fucking bullshit

BTW, everyone that works there,(If there is more than two it would be a shocker) is named Jarod....J-rod..Get it?

In my records i show that you order these wheels on 8-31-10. You were contacted by Bryan Mertz on 9-1-10 by phone and by email. I also have an email from you that you were ok with an october ETA. Then i get an email on 9-10-10 that says you would like for your sales order to be cancelled. This was at 5:45 p.m. Since we had an email from you saying that it was ok for an OCT. ETA we set your wheels up for drop ship. That is the reason for the conformation email of your purchase.

Now on to the other stuff. You only ordered 4 wheels. No tires. You were not charged 2nd day air either. You order 4 RTR wheels for $299.99. That comes to a total of $1199.96. Then you were only charged $14.99 for UPS ground shipping. So $1199.96+$14.99 = Your total of $1,214.95. I have already processed a credit memo today for your order, so you will be getting a full refund.

My direct line and email address is in my sig. I got all of this information just from your records that is in our computer system. If you would like to continue this conversation, please call me, email me or shoot me a PM. There are plenty of people on this forum that i have helped.

I knew it was a BS story. I've ordered several parts from LRS in the past and some were on backorder. I have never had a problem with them.

I just don't order too much from them anymore because of the 15.00 shipping fee. *WINK* *WINK* Jarrod. :nk:

I have ordered from LRS serfval times as well. Talked to Jarod personally. He bent over backwards to get my Corbeau seats that were back ordered in a timely fashion.

i too have gotten quite the hook up. i ordered the gt500 brake kit, they were sent straight from frpp with a caliper missing. jarrod bent over backwards getting it fixed through frpp... i'm pretty sure lrs had to eat that shit. but i needed the brakes by leave and jarrod hooked me up. i'm so impressed that when i get done with the army and have to pick my car up in dallas, that i'm going to swing by the shop on my way home to corpus to personally thank jarrod

It's not a bs story there guy, my names not matthew so a guy drops a story in my thread calling me Matthew and a bunch of info automatically makes him the saint if the story. Names Paul btw not even close to Matthew and I ordered 4 rtr wheels with the nitto 555 tire package.

I've ordered multiple items from LRS and they have always been upfront and honest with me.

OP, I would suggest that you actually call and talk to them to resolve your issue.
