I have had this on the car for about 2 years. Works great however last winter when it got really cold i believe the O rings shrunk up and the hydraulic fluid leaked out. Once spring rolled around and i went to start the car up i noticed it and refilled it and it held the level and worked fine. This winter same thing happened only now i refilled it and it continues to leak.

I thought it might have been some shrinkage on an o-ring with the cold but now im not sure if the o-ring is cracked or its some other issue. Anyone ever experience this. It appears to be leaking from the line in. Another thing i noticed is that that line has quite a bit of flex or backlash like it wants to pop out when someone steps on the clutch as i can see it because i cut a hole in the bellhousing for easy adjustment purposes. When i can snap some pics or video i will.

Pulled the trans twice to try to get my McLeod adjustable to stop leaking. Finally threw it in the garbage where it belonged and put a new OEM slave back in - problem solved.

Wow. What clutches are you guys using. I put in a SPEC 3+ and couldnt shift for anything with that OEM one. I put in torque limiters and solid mounts but the new TOB certainly helped. Maybe my original was just shot. Im all ears and might go back to the OEM after hearing this.

Mcleod RXT twin disc - works great, stock feel, TR6060 shifts like butter.

i have a mcleod street twin in my car and you have to use the mcleod adjustable tob with it. from what i understand. as long as its adjusted correctly, it should work fine. i had a leak once and it was just the lines on the tob body came loose...may just need to check those

No you don't.

The stock slave is more than adequate for mcleod's pressure plate.

not for the street twin...it works for the the rxt or the rst. but not the one with the oversized disks...the oem tob hardly works with the street twin pp

The TOB is still crap adjusted or not. It's the seals that leak. I've heard that they've changed the seal design but was so fed up after pulling the trans twice that I wasn't willing to try again.

I guess ill pull this thing out when i can get to it to see what could be causing this leak. maybe ill send it back to Mcleod. If they have changed their design its because something was wrong and maybe the will update it or replace the seals?? wishful thinking.
