Earlier in the week, I noticed my rear driver side brake squeaking when braking or turning left. I first check the tightness of the lug nuts, they were torqued to 100 ft-lbs. I then took the wheel off and took off the brake caliper to check the pins to see if they were seized, they moved freely. I then played with the axle shaft, there is a decent amount of movement and does make a clunk but I read some amount of movement is normal. I put the Wheel back on and now just here a clunk when braking or turning left. Think back, I heard a light clunking for a while now when turning left but figured it was my lower control arm ball joint, but this noise is definitely coming from the rear.
How much movement is normal for the axle shaft and how do I measure that?
Is there anything else I should check?
