But is she a female cat? one of the problems (or at least I see it as one) is that we put gender into everything (well, the cat has a gender but I mean, a chair has a gender, the car has a gender, wall... everything has a gender) in Spanish. That is why is so funny to hear an English speaker talk in Spanish.

So yes, if the cat is a she, is La Gata (or La Gata mala in your phrase)
