THe front of that car just looks naked now...definitely liked the steeda front more. I find it hard to believe it was worth so many points, all the regular front bumpers/chin spoilers on these cars arent overly functional

Yeah.. i would never have bought the thing to be honest..I got in a small accident and the bumper was available to me cheaper then a stock one.. and well.. Florida - doesn't have much " point systems " for road racing lol

Carl: I may wind up doing that, I guess it all depends on what the off-season planning comes up with. I may still sell the thing and get a 2011, or I may just stick with what I've got. I just need to do some thinking once the season wraps up. Only six more track days left... :sigh1:

Bizzy: I agree with you on BOTH points. The competition rules are written around the concept that *if* you change something, then the only reason you would change would be for a performance advantage, therefore, it costs points. In the eyes of the rules committee, a splitter is a splitter, whether it's a good one or not, so... +3 points for a modified fascia (after all, it's not stock), and another +3 points for the splitter/lip-spoiler. Just because it doesn't work as well as a carbon-fiber sheet sticking 4" out from the front of the car isn't their fault... I get it. I don't like it, but I get it.

Sweeper: The Steeda fascia is the best looking one out there, IMO. If all I was doing was HPDE/track-day stuff, I wouldn't worry about it at all, but I'm running Time Trials, so I have to live and die by the rule book. If you haven't yet, get out to a NASA event, talk to some of the time-trialers and you'll get an idea of what I'm up to...

Dave: Ahhh!! I wish it was like that down here in florida man. I've done a couple Nasa's events and they don't seem to do time trials. The first time at one, I had an instructor drive with me to make sure I knew what I was doing then was put into a group based on driving .. not points to what is done with the car. It sucks so much !!!! I'd have to go to north florida which i'm hoping to do.. which keeps me wondering to sell the front or not..
But I def know what your going through and it sucks!! If it were points i'd be in a world of shit hahaha.
