I want Lito to tune my 3v Paxton 1200SL for e85. I have 39lb injectors and a boost a pump. What do I need to change? I've read a lot of threads about sets for 550 + HP. But I'm honestly looking to sit right around 450 or so. Just hate the timing retard when my IATs rise at the track. Hoping e85 will be more consistent.

The 39lb injectors likely will not cut it. May look into a pump upgrade as well. Other than that, get a wideband and laptop and get after it.

First get with Manuel and ask him what he would prefer to tune. Given your 450 goal you might get by with the bap. A set of the newer lu47 injectors would handle it easily. I used a set with a Paxton 1200 and they were good to about 525rhwp on e85 with GT500 pumps. Sometimes they can be had for a good price if you can wait for a set to pop up.

Lito will be able to tell you straight out of the gate. I just made the switch and I had to go to bigger injectors and was barely able to use the GT500 pump. I will tell you this....the hp gain from advancing the timing was awesome and the concern of IATs in relation to detonation and pulling timing will be a thing of the past. I went from 2 laps before pulling to 25 minutes balls to the wall and no timing pulled.

I've gained considerable hp from E85 without advancing the spark. E85 flat out produces more power than gasoline provided the cylinder pressure is high enough. Add the spark advance and you gain even more power. It's a fantastic fuel that really shines with boost or high compression.
