Longtubes - DIY or pay?

i know of a guy in houston that will do it for 200 bucks and make you an x or an h pipe to go with it

I haven't got a quote from QMS yet but $200 sounds nice

Seems to take me twice as long to do installs than usually posted here. I had two friends helping and it still took two days. We did have to hack out old xpipe that was in there. If your use to working on cars then you will be fine. I can't imagine doing it solo.

Same. Experience makes things easy and a lot of people seem to forget how slow someone works when they haven't done something before and want to get it done right the first time.

For sure, we could get it done in less than half that time now.

Wait, you actually got instructions with yours? LOL.

It can be tricky, but if you have some help, it makes life so much easier. Extensions, universal & regular sockets and ratcheting wrenches will go a long way.

Did mine when it was 3 months old. Long tubes took me about 6 hours, and had to undue the steering shaft as well. That was no big deal at all. I have an auto and broke the vent line at the top of the bell housing on the firewall when I jackethe motor up. Was about 11 bucks at the dealership. Starter bolts were interesting. A day of my time was worth it save 350 to 450 plus I got to learn about my car. HINT I used studs on the way back in, are better then the bolts
