Have you looked at Apex Racing? They've got some nice choices and can give you EXACT references for fit. They are doing 18x11 square. They have one of the very few 18 inch wheels that will clear big brakes. Takes a good deal of negative camber, front spacers, and relocating bump stop in rear. I prefer staggered for street driving, and extreme stagger for drag setup. If I ever get into autocross I'll get a square setup.

Here's a wheel that's not bad. When I ordered these they were out of the rear wheels. I ended up stuck with these:

Oh man, if they only made the CS2's in 19! I'd be tempted to go up to 20's for those, but I've already got the tires

I looked at Apex, but most of what I was seeing were 6, 7 spoke wheels and I'm lookin for 5 spokes (solid or split)

Yeah I guess the lugs are bigger on the S550? 14mm vs 1/2" (12.7mm) on the S197? Wonder if I would need bigger lug nuts if using S550 wheels
Just use your old acorn lug nuts.

These are the coolest looking wheels IMO that I've ever seen but not sure what they'd look like on an S-197. They're Vertini RF1.1's. They do/did have 19" versions in the sizes you wanted. Tried buying a set a couple of years back but availability was low at the time so I went with the S550's. Haven't done any research lately on them. I was going to do a square setup in 19 x 9.5. If I remember it was estimated the offsets would clear the Brembo's.

U sure abt that ? I was told the S550 wheels used 13mm lugs, which is only .3mm bigger diam than 12.7 mm.

It's S197 lug nuts to S197 studs and S550 Lug Nuts to S550 studs. The wheels interchange and do not care what acorn studs you use.

You are correct of course, but still, you don't want a huge hole in the wheels. IF indeed the S550 uses a 13 mm stud/lugnut combo. the hole in the S550 wheel would either be the same size or .3mm bigger diam. My lugnuts are tapered at the back end..so it's all a moot point really.

S550 wheels have been used on S197 cars for several years that I know of.

That is why they call them ACORN Nuts.

If you like the Forgestar CF5's, here's a 19x10 square setup in silver on my 2014 wrapped with 285/35s

If I can find the right tire in 19" I'll be going with these. Basically a GT350 wheel That fits a non GT350 S197.

You might need some hub rings with those. Those wheels list their hub size as 73mm. S197 hubs are 70.5 mm. You need an inner ring size of 70.6 and outer of 72.9 - 73mm. I've seen hub rings in both aluminum and plastic. Not sure of the sizes though. Something to check out anyway.

Now your in an area were machine tolerances are very wide for both versions.

2012 California Special Rims are 19 inch, Grey and pretty unique looking. Cost around 350 each in Canada after core charge so they must be a lot less expensive in the States.Screenshot_20210405-162118_Google.jpg

My 2010 with charcoal Saleen Heritage (19x9 front, 19x10 rear) I picked up off eBay for under $500 for the set. I love emView attachment 77208
Really like those, kind of remind me of the stock wheels on an '08 Bullitt.

One of my buddies had a car almost exactly like yours with those wheels, really sharp :waytogo: Those didn't come in staggered sizes, right?

On the Vossen front, I got in touch with them through their site and they said they'll do a custom finish for about $200 over the cost of a standard color. Options include:
Satin Black
Gloss Black
Satin Bronze
Anthracite
Satin Silver

I went on their site and looked at the Anthracite (basically the same as the matte graphite but a little more brown), and satin silver. Satin Silver looks pretty decent. Depending on the wheel it either looks painted, cast, or anodized:

looks painted on the VFS-5

Vossen-VFS-5-Wheel-C34-Satin-Silver-Hybrid-Forged-Series-©-Vossen-Wheels-2018-1004-1047x698.jpg

Looks cast on the HC-1

Looks anodized on the VPS-303

Vs the brushed finish:

There's another option on the Vossen front -- I found some wheel finishing shops near me that do custom finishes - to include CNC lathing to get the brushed face. And it looks like one in particular does pretty good work. It's $200 a wheel to machine & paint though
