They have the 15% off going on right now.....which brand would be the one to get.

www.stranoparts.com carries multiple brands.....which one is a better choice? Its just a daily driver, got eibach drop springs, and the stock struts clunk.

I just want something that will be a better than OEM choice for my dropped ride.

Thats what Sam recommends for lowered vehicles. He is a vendor here so you can pm him and ask questions.

Let me just ask one more question on this "clunk" subject. Im really wanting to make sure its the struts/strut top. Is this a noise that you will hear cruising down the freeway @ 65-70mph, and every little imperfection in the road you will hear the
clunkclunk--clunkclunkclunk--clunk-clunkclunk--clunkclunk--clunkclunk....? It's a soft sound and somewhat hard to hear.

thats exactly what i had, but to tear apart the suspension and do one mod at a time seemed stupid so i did struts and the mounts all at once.

Turbostangs90, you have rod ends in your suspension, correct? I get the same clunk-clunk-clunk noise in my Mustang too, I have full rod ends in my lcas, uca, and phb. I think it's just the NVH downside of rod ends.

I got a chance to ride shotgun in a 911 GT3 on a open track day last Wednesday, he had replaced all suspension bushings with rod ends, sounded the same as my car, clunking here and there as we went around the track, lol.

Oh, and as for shocks, I recommend Koni Yellow, I feel much more confident with those at track speeds. The adjustable rebound is nice, you can dial in over/understeer, reduce brake dive, etc.

No...the car Im talking about is the S197 which is pretty much stock with a drop. It has all poly bushing. I swear the noise is the front strut mount but I wont know until my next day off which will be monday. This car will never be a race car....I just want a strut/shock that works great with the drop...nothing adjustable needed on this car.

Plus with the way the sounds travel....it sounds like the noise is coming from all over.

All you need. Are you going to get Gt500 mounts or aftermarket?

Oh....I see...Have you tried bouncing the front and rear of the car while at rest? You might have a chance at isolating the sound. As firefigherhill suggested, is everything tightened down? If the sound is coming from the front end, it could be your strut mounts.

It didnt make the noise when I first bought it in april....but driving on a horrible interstate to and from work probably has contributed to it over time Im sure.

My advice to invest in a decent torque wrench and tighten every piece to spec. Some parts take way more torque then youd think.

i used my built in tq wrench and it had clunks, went back nothing was loose at all most stuff was tightened to where the threads ran out. replaced suspect parts and used my built in tq wrench no clunks nothing feels nice and tight in the turns and on the freeway.

When I did my sway bars I didnt have a torque wrench and got the clunk. I bought a torque wrench and went over every suspension part I installed. The end links and LCA's took WAY more torque then I could have imagined. After I did that, no more noise.
