Manual owners - do you ever powershift?

I have this problem as well, and a buddy with a Saleen blown 08 did the night we were at the track.

I am shifting ~ 65-6700 and 1-2 WILL NOT go in unless I short shift it. After that I didn't even attempt the 2-3 or 3-4.

Will a torque limiter remedy this?

it should be a big help, I had the issue on the 3-4 shift, believe it or not, once the tq lmtr was on... never an issue, I power shift 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 no like a mo fo, street and track!

ive been wanitng to try it.

so what's stopping you?? try 3-4 first a few times to get used to it, its the easiest to do IMO, once your comfortable then go 2-3 or 1-2 and practice.

Sure. As mentioned in the thread below my last post, it works out differently for everybody. Just like for 119 mph i'd expect a slightly lower ET.


Me too. But, turbo cars seem to have higher speeds with slower ETs. I would guess its because of the boost schedule.

Shit bangin gears(power shifting) is like bangin ya girl.When you're doing it right good things will come,but when you're doing it wrong it may not last long. lol
