MGW Shifter now $250

where did you saw that. i just went to their web site and it still at $299

From what I understand they redesigned the rear and the shifter actually moves as the transmission torques. Less bind and better shifting. I have have a PRO 5.0 for 4 years but I ordered one and am going to give it a try.

It still says $299 and when you checkout it will say $299 BUT they told me you will only be changed $250 + shipping. I don't work for these guys and have no interest in anything other than trying to pass along some info to the good folks here.

Thanks for the info. I have been wanting to pull the trigger on the MGW since I am going to be installing a clutch soon. Just couldn't justify the $300 right now. I think I may go ahead and get it now.

Nope, I bought the CHE brace w/tq limiters, but after I put in the MGW, I didn't need them and never installed them because I didn't want to ad any more NVH.

Stock motor mounts as well. Basically, the MGW fixed my 3rd gear lockout.

Only complaint is it is a tad harder to get into reverse than stock, but only mildly noticeable.

My Pro 5.0 is stiff going to 5th, and sometimes really have to lean on it for reverse.

After the Tq limiters the 2-3 was MUCH better, want to do motormounts too... just thinking the MGW might be a bit less notchy than the Pro 5.0

The MGW shifters are a work of art. I have the last generation one and this thread on the new generation one was on a Mustang forum where the owner of MGW was commenting on the new one. Heck of a deal guys..

Im the ooposite had a mgw and hated how loose and quiet it was, and not to mention it broke at onlt half of the max alotted turns, got the pro 5.0 and love it, much more confident and solid feel and havent looked back since.

Also i had zero increase in nvh with solid motor mounts.

I had the MGW on my 07 Vert w/ CHE torque brace and limiters, NVH wasnt bad at all and shifting was precise and smooth. I had the MGW set to 8 turns, throw was super short but stiff as hell, 7 turns was a lil better, 6 turns was perfect but to each his own, thats the beauty of the MGW.

On the Saleen i wanted to try something else but since they dropped the price, i may just have to run the MGW again.

I went with their chrome handle with the white rally ball with black stripes.

I had the opposite issue. The MGW was super stiff even after the springs were broken in. Very hard going between gears. Went from a Pro 5.0 to MGW (twice, first one broke) and back to the Pro 5.0...couldn't be happier.

I am swapping my Pro 5.0 for this and evaluate them. George is charging 250 and will change the price on the website. He is also running a deal on the shifter handle and ball, its a sweet deal.
