Correct me if I'm wrong but won't the OD pulley get you into boost faster because of the belt spinning faster at lower RPM's? That seems to be a great upgrade for our type of blowers where we have to wait for the boost, plus it will give you more belt wrap.
I'm also in your place with upgrades. I'm going to wait until I can max the car with what I have at the track before cutting to big of a check that my butt can't cash (hand, eye, foot corrdination keeping it off the wall haha).
Yea I hear that, i just firgure i might as well make the most out of the dyno time since going back gets expensive.... I also have alot to learn about this car....
Actually e-towns food makes Atco's look like five star dining lol.
We repp'n atco yo! :roflmao:
I can vouch for the chicken tenders and only the chicken tenders lol.
There gonna get put through the ringer soon enough :beerdrink:
Track food showdown! haha
Stock heads and cams can take you far. I would definatly get better valve springs tho. Another thing, you will be maxed out on your 60lb injectors at around 600hp. I had to switch to 80's as well as a GT500 KB Boost-a-Pump to make more than 750. Currently I'm at 823rwhp and 840rwtq with and auto and stock heads/cams/intake/tb/manifolds
Ok cool. I thought my stock heads/cams were limited much more.... Basically it sounds like the springs are they only thing holding the motor back.... Honestly, I dont think Im going to push the car over 600whp so it sounds like my fuel setup is ok
Hasn't caused an issue yet, though I do shift at 6500 RPM right now. If I don't sell soon I'll be saving money for valve springs and delete the cam timing too.
Thanx for the feed back. Answered some questions and myths that Ive heard...

Didn't read the whole thread so I may be late to the party, but you really need a bigger head unit to take advantage of that motor. A YSi or Novi2200 would be a really nice upgrade.

Some blower cams would be a nice addition too. It seems the stock heads can take you pretty far so I wouldn't worry about that for now.

I think that a YSi, blower cams, PP heads might be another winter project... Gotta keep yourself busy and free from that cabin fever shit in the winters haha... Nice numbers Jeff. Enjoying that Tial BOV?

I like the Tial. Imo its not annoying loud like some have said, yet its loud enough to give me proof that its actually working.

I've got a buddy thats doing a JDM 302/YSi/Detroit Rocker blower cam install as we speak. It should hopefully be done and tuned this week. I'll make sure he posts up some results...

When we did my build at Brenspeed Brent suggested Detroit rocker N/A cams in the vortech set up this way you don't lose anything down low and still get gains mid to top end.Still running the stock cams as of yet.

Ya, I think I may pick up a innovators west 10% OD pulley.... Only thing is my fuel..... Guys, is a 10% OD pulley even worth it? Will it dry out 60lb inject ans gt500 pumps?
