My 2011 Mustang 5.0 is Procharged. I am presently running 8 pounds of boost on 94 octane fuel. I am considering a smaller pulley to get the boost up to around 9 pounds. I will be getting it retuned on a dyno.
Is anyone running 9-10 pounds of boost on a stock motor ?
What do you guys think is the maximum safe amount of boost on a stock bottom end ?

Its a scientific calculation really. You take the measurement of your crank pulley and divide that by two. That is the smallest supercharger pulley you can run safely on a stock motor. Its been proven time and time again.

13 pounds here on a KB 2.8LC on 91 octane gas. i'm pushing the limit on pump gas(boost wise), but I have a safe tune. running it at 633 RWHP for the past year since i installed it. multiple runs at the track no issues.

Supras run 25-30 pounds without a problem, on a 6 cyl with only 3 liters. This is an 8 with 5 liters, I'd say you're probably good to damn near 40.

How about this for some knowledge.

You’re asking the wrong question. Boost doesn’t break motors, horsepower does. What you should be asking is

"How much power can I make on a stock block?"

The answer is 600-650rwhp.

You could put a restriction on the intake to reduce flow, necessitating much more pressure for the same volume, thus higher boost for the same power. Why somebody would do that is beyond me, but it COULD be done.

Also, this is an example of a good question for your tuner/builder, not some anonymous dicks on the internet.

It is, you have to make some effort, don't expect to be spoon fed.
