For what it's worth, the 750 hp 2010 GT500 Whipple kit has you silicone the throttle body to the blower inlet and the blower to lower intake assembly. There's nothing wrong with using silicone there as long as you use it sparingly. There is always such thing as too much silicone no matter where you're using it.

It looked like it was spewing out the sides... I'll have to ask my mechanic if he got a pic of it or not

Everything about the wiring and plumbing job on that pic screams "amateur". Covering with wire loom ain't fixing that. It really looks like someone had no clue what they were doing, was a test setup they'd be removing later or really just didn't give a shit.

To me, it seems like they really didn't give a shit. I should have never took the car looking like that but I was fed up with all their run around stories.

Thats the kind of work you get from Modular Depot after spending $9k

In the last PM he offered to pick up the car from my house, fix everything wrong with it, and drop it off to me free of charge. I was skeptical about doing that because if they could not install everything right in the first place, what says they can do it right the second time? What shop would have a desire to do work over again, if in fact they knew how to do it?

But if he says they can fix it, I'll give them one last chance. Even if it does get fixed, I still believe I was overcharged, but if they make my car look like the engine wasn't just slapped together by a 5 year old, make sure it is running right, and make sure it is tuned right (because it definitely is NOT tuned right), then I'll be happy.

If he does not want to fix it anymore, well then I'll have to go about the hard way of doing things and start with small claims court, the BBB, and the attorney generals office, all while informing the whole internet of the type of work they do.

It's sad though, for me. Every car I saw come out of that shop looked like top notch work, with the exception of my car. Why? I don't know...

DO NOT go to MODULAR DEPOT

Want to get the word around to other people the kind of work that Modular Depot does.

http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41445

Just as a refresher. Hoping you guys can help spread the word on other forums and start topics so other people don't get screwed like I did. I'm begging you guys to do this for me. No one should have to repeat what I am going through so help me save some peoples hard earned cash and time. I'm a college student and saved for two years while my car was down to pay for everything and I don't have much to show for it since Modular Depot screwed me. Thanks Greg Brown, you really did a great job on my car

I remember this. That engine bay reminds me of the 70's/80's cars with all their emissions crap running everywhere. No offense obviously. Hope you got it all worked out.
