Got in contact with Greg. They are closed from the 24-4 so once they reopen after the holidays, it looks like they are going to fix the issues with my car. He offered to come pick it up from here and drive it back to Kentucky, get it all fixed, then deliver it back to my house.

Do you think I should let them have the car back to fix it?

I would give them a last chance to resolve it and if they cant, atleast it didnt cost you anything extra. Atleast you hope not.

I know a few would say what does he have to lose but if the tune isn't very good then he has to worry about a new shortblock. Good luck with your decision.

Exactly, no one knows if it will be any better the second. Although, it should at least LOOK better. I'm probably going to see if I can have someone else tune it, but I don't want them to blame the tuner if for some reason the block blows. So I'm kind of in a pickle...

Chris Rose from American Muscle in PA, how far is he from your location in Ohio? He does remote tuning which I hear is pretty accurate.

I recommend preparing a formal memornadum that clearly and concisely establishes the timeline - from start to current - of the tasks, issues and problems that followed, along with a copy of any emails from MD, phone records, photos, and other receipts/documentation to support your case. If you can get some free legal advice based on this documentation prior to going back to MD - that would be a plus. I agree with stkjock. If MD said they want another opportunity to make it right by doing the necessary repairs - I would take this memo with you and let the manager read it so they know you're serious and plan to follow up legally if they don't resolve the problems to your satisfaction.

That's a very valid point if one was to try to take this matter to court.

Thanks Vinny, I'll make sure to request him when I get there. What do you think of their tuner Dave? Obviously Ken is not there, and he was the star player at the shop.

Thats why I figure I leave it in their hands and hope for the best. If there is problems after they attempt to fix the issues, then the courts would obviously be on my side. If you have two chances to fix something and both times fail, then they really just do not do good work

I would take pictures of everything and document the miles and what repairs they are suppose to make. That way if they find damage that mysteriously happened,(like your rim & tire), you have proof it wasn't there before they took possession. Have a document of showing all this and have both parties sign it when he take car. And like mentioned above, have a time frame on document. That way if car isn't repaired, or some more mysterious damage occurs you have proof, if you decide to take them to court.

Guarantee they are offering this because they know you will be telling people and posting this on fourms, about their terrible service and overpricing. And word of mouth can be you best or worst type of advertisement for a business.. What ever happens hope it works out for you.
