Got a good bit done today. All the wiring is loose and out of the way. All but 2 of the bell housing bolts are out. Also worked on the interior and dropped the gas tank to get all the fuel out.

Did you pull your ac compressor and lines and power steering pump and lines or did you leave them in the engine bay?

What color?

Flat white or burnt orange. Can't decide.

Also while I have the heads at the machine shop, I am doing valve springs and seals. Should I replace anything else or is that all?

Edit: How much exhaust wrap will I need to do the complete hot side?

Thats a killer deal. I stayed up every night after I decided to build before it went south, and just couldn't bring my self to buy the boss rods. Considering I only paid about 120 dollars more for the H beams and ARP 2000 bolts, I think it was the right decision.

Yeah that's definitely not a bad choice!

Where did you get the boss rods from ?
And would it be hard to pull the tranny the same time?
I'm getting ready to pull my motor soon !

Have you decided on a valve spring yet? Are you locking out or getting something adjustable?

Im going with the Trick Flow Springs from Summit. They are $200 and Im probably just going to lock them out. Its cheaper and less of a headache.

I picked up the Rods for $162 from tousley along with a 2013 GT500 oil pump for $62. Id say it isnt bad to pull the trans at the same time. It just takes some finessing.
