Kind of a test loop getting on it in 2nd and 3rd. Not sure how heavy this is but it is no ZR1. Brakes seem grabby to me. Track Apps cluster already recorded a 1.50g brake and left turn with 36 miles. Then.70 on the right with .60 accel. Salesman of course whats to look at my car. I did not have it with me. I was just picking up a battery for the 2014. Best deal in town on that battery. The original is still going at more then 7 years.I made an effort to test drive every new or significantly updated Mustang from the time I got my license through to the release of the S197 Boss 302. I still haven't so much as sat in an S550. I Just can't bring myself to care about this generation.
Did you get a chance to get on it a bit or just do the standard test loop with the salesman insisting you keep it under 5000 RPM?
For sure the Brembo Brakes and 275/40/19 rear tires. These are no faster then the 2014 even with the 3.73 Throson rear. The newer ones do have a better side to side feel. The braking I feel is somewhat grabby. The issue is the black and gray car are full price leftovers. There are full price 2021 also around. I see a few MACK1's for $60,000. I want to look at those. A deal for me right now would be $60,000 2021 with a $30,000 trade rather then $50,000 leftover and $25,000 trade. The 2014 is paid for and the leather shop says I can get full new real leather stock interior for $1000 installed. The 2021 are only 30% leather maybe less. For sure 100% of the back seats are vinyl. I think I like the looks of the 2014 better viewing side by side. What are things included in the GT Performance Package?
It's a very hard line at the dealerships today. For me, can I get the same side to side feel with $5000 worth of upgrades on my 2014 GT or do I have to have that fancy rear axle? It's a big deal with the reviewers on the new Mach 1 that the Mach 1 is a full second slower then the ZL-1 and Hellcat. Ford says yes but it's a better feel stopping and side to side movements. Reviewers are saying, "come on Ford" use a supercharger that has been proven time and time again. Then Ford has also been taking hits with their so called Leather Interior that is less then 30% leather. This all started when I needed to get a new battery and Ford had the best deal in town. Might as well change the Cabin Filter at the same time.Yes the price is up a bit, but w/ the chip shortage & pandemic retreating there's loss revenue to be made. Throw them an offer "you're" comfy with and see if they bite. If not, more fish in the sea.

A ZL1 and a Hellcat aren't anywhere near the Mach 1 as far as cars go. Hence the GT 500.
Well the Mach 1 seems to have GT 350 and GT 500 parts with a Gen 3 motor. Now me, I think my 2014 made 8/13 at the discontinued Boss cusp has a Boss Motor. Actually a test was done on the 2013 Boss with a Gen 1 intake. It did much better torque wise and still had the 444hp at the top. For sure they were using Gen2 motors at the end of 2014 production. Maybe the reason you can get a new Boss intake for about $300 on ebay.
Ridiculous price.
And for $47K, you get a lousy 275mm rear / 255mm front combo. I had that combo on my 2010 and it was actually pretty good. What works better is my current 305 rear / 285 front combo.
His 2014 with LT's + a 93 tune would yield 447 rwhp (510 crank)... in NA format. Throw in a blower on any version of these cars, and the sky is the limit.
Well several people in this site claim Gen 2 cyl casings on their late build Gen 1 cars. Exact same deal with Gen 1 Boss long blocks in very early built 2014's as in Aug 2013. In fact, Ford had a Gen 2 crate engine with gen 1 cams for a time.unless you put in a roadrunner engine into your mustang you don’t have that engine as a GT from the factory. In addition to the intake the roadrunner also had new cylinder heads that have CNC-machined ports and chambers for better airflow across the entire RPM range, forged pistons, forged connecting rods and a forged steel crankshaft.
What your referring to 13/14 could be called the gen 1.5 (Smaller Head Bolts, No Oil Cooling Jet, Phosphorous Piston Coating, Boss 302 Piston Rings, Improved Powertrain Calibration). From the factory line none (2014s) left with gen2 motors.
What improved for the s550s (gen 2) is based on air flow (Larger Intake and Exhaust Valves, Larger Camshafts, Stiffer Valve Springs). Which on paper stated the extra 15 horsepower and 10 lb-ft of torque.

Mores so with Ford Mustangs and the parts they use from China. Give them a call.
