So, after much thought, I think I am going to go with long tube headers.

I would love to get kooks, but I don't have that kind of coin. I see that a lot of people use Pypes. Do they have good fitment? Leaking problems?

Any other frugal long tube suggestions?

Nope I was in Lane 3 all night. I think you saw that one Grabber Blue (Bright) 5.0 running 14-16's all night.

Mine is a darker blue, I was there with my friend who has a Red 2011 GT/CS. I was in the 12's for most of the night... traction on these 235/50/18s was a chore.

man. i just dont understand how some of you guys are turning 116 mph traps with the mods you have (seer).

i know i was granny shifting when i went to the track, but DAMN. (i only went 109). im starting to the think the air was worse than i thought then...since i saw a C6 vette trapping 109-110 the same night.

My 116 mph traps were at Mason Dixon Dragway 2 weeks ago. I was trapping high 114's (114.9) all night at Pittsburgh Raceway last thursday. But best I could muster was a 12.6 with a 2.09 60'.

It was my first night running with the 3.73s... My 12.1 @ 116 was with the stock 3.31's

I have MT 295/45/17s and 17x10 rims on their way to me tomorrow. My car will go 11's if i drive it right this week

Maybe my tune is more aggressive than yours? Dunno.

i don't remember lol. its been a long time and i've done alot of different things since then. the MACs were one of my first mods (other than the CAI and tune). iirc, i did feel it in the seat, but the sound was the biggest improvement.

you'd think 42hp gain would be pretty noticable though. like i said, its been a long time lol. i can't for the life of me remember what my car was like stock.

The first pass I made in my car was a 13.1 with just an airaid cai (with insert) mismatched diabo tune for the C&L street intake ,pypes mid mufflers, stock 3.55's, et streets on spare 17" rims. Seems like you would have gone much faster with half the mods if you just had some et streets or drag radials..

Half a second is quite a bit of time in the quarter mile...

What was your 60' time? I know I have a better 60' that a lot of people who use drag radials.

My goal is to drive down to the track (on actual street tires, not dr's) lower the tire pressure in the rear, race, and go home.

My brother-in-law spends an hour before and an hour after racing changing all four tires. I watch him do it while I drink a milkshake.

I dont think I will be attempting it. I will let Rodheaver do it. It will probably be the best money I ever spent.

Well, I just purchased a set of Pypes LT Headers. It should be the only mod I do before my next time to the track. We can settle once and for all if LT's make a difference on an NA Car. I think I will have it dyno'd after the install as well.

I will be in the market for a H or X for them, so if anyone has one, let me konw.

1. Bullitt rear end with factory installed 3.73 gears
2. QA1 Rear single adjustable shocks

Any suggestions on a starting point for the adjustment for the QA1's?

Im hoping for a 1.75 short time. Reason being, my father's '67 Mustang, which ran a best of 11.97 in the quarter, had a terrible 60' time of 1.76. I want to have bragging rights that I can atleast beat him to the 60'.

So, previous PB is 12.54 @ 109.57 on street tires and full weight.

Any predictions?

I would dookie in my pants if I could land a 12.39.

Thanks! And yes, I do plan on getting it dyno'd after the install. Mainly because I want to get the a/f ratio and a datalog to send to BBR to see if any improvements can be made.
