So the only thing im waiting on is main bearings and I ran into a weird thing

My machine shop had some ordered and they never came in, they were clevite coated bearings as are the rod bearings

We decided to go to ford...

I have to purchase 5 different kinds of bearings
They have a chart that cross references the number om the block and tells you what you need for each main

It is something like this

On the uppers I need 2 sets of #1 and 3 sets of #2
On the lowers I need 1 set of #3 2 sets of #1 and 2 sets of #3

Its weird that the bearings are not all the same but according to the chart it goes by your block#

I should have then in next week

The rings are gapped, cylinders have crosshatches
And its already balanced

Im going to pick it all up next week and get started putting it together and post more pics

Please don't assume this is a diy thread, this is the most complicated engine I have ever had to find parts for lol

Thanks for the compliments!

The studs above were too short I have to send them back to arp and get the right ones
I am using stock bolts to hold it together while I assemble the motor then I will swap them out with studs when they get here

Pistons were pretty difficult due to the oil squirters not clearing

I made them clear but the aim is a little off from the pin I hope its more of a mist than a stream and it don't create windage

Im thinking about eliminating them

Thanks!
I need to find fronts for it I don't want skinnies
I want a Wheel at least 7" wide but no wider than 8" that has a similar patern in chrome so I can run them on the street

I tend to take corners sometimes and don't wanna roll a skinnie

what kind of wheels are you running around town on? why not have a set of custom skinnies made? a guy on another forum had a set of 03 cobra wheels widened for the rear and had the fronts cut smaller so its like a big and little setup. i thought it was pretty cool to see

Well I want to run around on the 15" racestars for the rear

I don't have fronts yet

I want the 17" racestars to clear my brembos but I don't want a skinny
I want at least 7" wide because of the corners around here
How do I ho about getting a racestars widened to 7" and still clear brembo?

What piston/rods are you using.

The pistons are made by the same guy that started JE pistons, I can't think of the brand but I will go look next time im in the shop. They were custom made, I sent in a stock piston and had it replicated with some improvements. The ringlands are moved down, its forged and fully coated, and it has a channel above the top ring that uses compression to seal the ring better.

The rings are total seal.

The rods are eagle H beam rated to 1000hp with arp 2000 bolts
The stock rods are garbage, they may hold up good but if you look at where the cap separates... it isn't even cut strait, it looks broken and ridged

Main bearings are oem

Rods bearings are clevite coated

Waiting on arp main studs

And already have arp head studs

Tss oil gears

Stock heads/cams

Plan on running boost and with the 11:1/forged combo I see no reason not to make 800rwhp

I plan on hitting up beefcake for a paxton kit and then go from there
I weather have a turbo but just can't wait fir a good kit to happen

Clutch, lca, racestars/ drag radials, aeroforce gauges are all here already
