So far it's bone dry as I expected.

I will be doing some more testing this weekend at Virginia International Raceway. I will take some video showing how much I can get in (1) 30 minute track session at high rpm then 2,3 and 4 sessions.

The catch can is definately a must for this car. Everytime I drive my car about 100 miles round trip there is as much oil in the catch can as in these pictures.

I am using the UPR catch can unfortunately because JLTs wasn't available, I would've opted for the JLT but it wasn't available at the time.

This was after 75 miles of driving highway. I'll have to take the can off now because I racked up about 500 miles, but a catch can is definately essential for this engine. It catches alot of oil.

When I install JLT's Oil Separator and start having regular amounts of oil "separated"...should you fill that small amount back into the engine right away (obviously with new oil)? What kind of oil do you guys recommend?

Heres some updated ones at 500miles of driving, keep in mind, I emptied the oil from the first set of pictures above.

Keep in mind, I am simply showing these for purposes to show the amount of blowby on these cars.

at this rate, I think I am really going to need to monitor oil levels every 1k miles on teh car lol.

No.

Always put clean, fresh oil in the engine.

At that rate you won't even be a quart low at 10k miles.

You should always monitor the oil level in your car. I learned that lesson for the 370z forums...

Good idea, buy a POS for your Mustang from a VW board vs. supporting a S197forums.com vendor who's a Mustang enthusiest and builds parts specific for Mustangs.

Supporting a vendor is good, but spending a bunch more cash than you need to when a little old fashioned American ingenuity to make something that does the same job for less isn't a bad thing.

I had one of those inline compressor water seperators on my srt4. It looked like garbage in the engine bay. With the factory hoses I bet your average Ford tech would not even realize it wasn't OEM. What some of you are failing to understand is that the piece is milled from a billet of aluminum not just cast in China. I have ghetto rigged all of my cars and in the end it just ends with heart ache. Something like this is not a necessity but if you are going to do it at least do it right.

Yes, we have a base kit which is the canister only.

Hey look, building your own with comperssor parts is cool with me and a great DIY project, just don't trash a good product because you want to be a DIY'er. Build you own, start your own thread, post pics and do an install write up. Show where to get the parts and detail how to mock it up.
That's what forums are for, but if you don't like what we have,
