If you sell cars for a living you obviously already know fair market value for your trade in, what you owe and what you can afford. Are you asking permission from the forum or for validation in your decision? Because if you already know the numbers side of it then it becomes a personal decision and only you know what is right for you and your family.

"It's in line with KBB trade in value but I would like y'all's opinions"
Plenty have given good advice already as far what has worked for them and what would be a fair deal. Honestly they are doing you a favor having offered you 24K for the car. Considering the fact that it already has an accident, it has higher then average mileage for a car technically only a year old and a completely new design will be out soon and every trendy gotta have the latest greatest, non-enthusiast's will want one of those and the market for the 13-15 models are going to take a hit. (how much you would know better then I) It sounds like you have your mind made up, so right now would be the time to get while the getting is good. Congrats and good luck

I sell Nissans. I don't know what would be a good value for a Mustang. I asked opinions for what they offered, not anything else.

Just out of curiosity are you the one who will be transporting the kids most often.....still just curious on why you'd ditch the Mustang and not the focus....

I'd jump all over 24k, the car is going to depreciate hard once the S550 hits lots. Good luck either way.

We both will be. Plus, I don't need two large payments. You can PM if you want.

Not sure if that was directed towards me to PM you but I'm good....also I agree to make sure whatever you get make sure the booster/car seats fir well in them. It's not so much the boosters, but if you need a rear facing car seat it's a game changer.

Who else would I be talking to lol. I did check how the infant seat will fit and there is plenty of room.

Stephen, yes most likely. No, and it sucks cause the value tanked on them last year. I'm talking 8-10K drop.

Trade in now, take that money and buy a Nissan.
Reasons:
a) in 10 years, you're going to want to have a ragged pos to throw that kid in so he doesn't smash up anything nice or that you care about
b) nissan makes the sentra, which will convince those kids that you're huge. "daddy can touch the pedals!" despite the fact that the instrument cluster is still eye level.
c) you sell the cars, drive one to work, and gush about how awesome it is to your potential customers. nobody wants to buy an imported rotbox from somebody unwilling to drive one.

^Very valid points. As a car salesman, if you drive your own products, it becomes a huge benefit in giving customers additional insight (on the positives)

Eh, I understand those points but I don't like the way Nissans feel and drive. The interior is unappealable to me for my own personal vehicle. I want to drive something I really like. And Fords are what I happen to love.

Even a Bentley's interior will look unappealing after three kids situate themselves in it.

Joking aside, I'll support you on whatever you want to drive.

Trading in both? So sacrificing two for one? You don't think you would be better served just using two cars to get somewhere as opposed to one. Two is one and one is none.
