Well we went to the track this weekend and managed to get a new best.

The 8's still elude us!

It just wasn't my weekend. Weather never got where it was forecasted and I couldn't seem to hit my shifts to save my life!! LOL

Yeah, I had it out at a local car show back before Christmas. I like to drive it on the weekends once or twice a month. I have another tune to run 93.

That's why I made the chute removable!

Yeah, the crowd sucked! It just happened to be an "Import Challenge" at HRP. We actually had Midget Wrestling across from my pit area!!:wtf:

My best run was the pass where I missed my shift! They shut us down at the tree to get everyone to stop standing on the walls (can you believe that shit) and move them back at least behind where the tree was!!! Just jacked up my concentration!!

Yea, the boards are down till next week. They're FINALLY repairing the hurricane damage!

I have a TH400 with a manual valve body. Still got to watch for that little light and pull the handle back (just a sad case of not doing my job in the car) wasn't paying attention to my shift light and went late!! LOL However, I guess I should rephrase my early comment "missed my shift POINT" as I guess I could have pulled straight back to High from first (which I didn't).

If it was a glide it would be easier....only have to shift once!! LOL

Custom built 10" it has a steel stator from a truck in it I'm told! He's building me another so I can spray from the hole soon. This one stalls to high.

We asked for a 3000 stall.....we got a 4500. Guy couldn't believe it so he gave it to me for free. The new one will be much tighter, he said if it isn't I can throw it threw his front window!!!

All I can say is tell them you want it as tight as they can make it, then tell them to tighten it some more! If you can pour a quart of fluid into it and it doesn't take a half hour......it's too loose!

I wish I could help more but it's kind of trial and error with these guys. I will say don't even bother with a 9 if your making big power on the application. I've had 4 T/C's on this car before I got one that would work, and it's not quite right! Luckily the 10" mass seems to be enough to keep it from blowing through!

Damnit....that's my job!!!!

Hey SD!

Well if you'd stop by the shop more you'd get the opportunity to throw stuff threw people windows also!! LOL

Another fun pastime brought to you by the same guys that brought you "Bowling for 55 gallon drums with your return vehicle" and "How fast can you get the police called on you during a major race event" (our record is 4 hours before the "Fun Ford Baytown" race started)!!!:beerdrink:

Yeah...I need to get out more. :laughlots: Actually, I do need to bring the car down there when I get the restrictors and inline oil filter in the mail. Too much damn oil getting past the seals in the turbos so we need to put the restrictors in. It's a bitch to do without a lift. Plus, I need a gear. And a True Trac. And a line loc. And a shortblock. etc, etc, etc.........

Four hours? C'mon.....we got the game warden on our butts at Louisiana the day before the race started. "It's just one baby alligator.....no harm no foul.....right?"

Yeah....9.15....like you need a new engine. :laughlots:

I'm actually thinking about leaving the car alone. Fucker was damn near unbeatable once I figured out the launch rpm last year at Bristol. Wanted to do a shortblock just for safety reasons. Depends on how much Richard is willing to finance.

I didn't say that the engine was for my 07 GT!

You know the orange coupe under the car cover in the shop......it has a new owner! Can you say 400 cubes and a 114mm turbo??? I know I can!! LOL

You just planning on doing the rotating assembly or building a complete shortblock so you have a spare?

I can also say, "You've got too much frickin' money." That settles it. You're my newest sponsor. You will be responsible for beer and hooker money......should work out to be about $500 per race. I'll come by the shop later to pick up the cash.

Rotating assembly. Figure I didn't kill the stocker at 8psi so I should be in good shape with a forged lower end up to 12 psi.

Ha - I learned about a 10" a long time ago just as you...lol Trouble is they always slip more with a TS so no matter where I set it - it seems to slip to 4000+ (even at 2800) Although that was on my old 4r70. Mike's transmissions is using a 10" continental converter in my new TH400 and they seem to think it should stall exactly where they set it - but I'm waiting to see...
