Got my new exhaust setup all done. I had added the JBA Off Road X-pipe to the car and it sounded good but was VERY loud and really raspy with the Pype Bomb axle backs so I took those out and got some Ford Racing GT500 Style mufflers and I'm really happy with them and highly recommend them. They are pretty cheap at around $310 shipped and are really good quality and I love the sound. The car is A LOT quieter on the inside compared to before (even with the pype bombs and stock mid pipe) and is quieter on the outside too but still sounds good and more refined IMO. It got rid of a lot of the raspiness of the pype bombs which I like and now I'm not nearly as worried about the popo pulling me with no cats. Anyway let me know what you guys think!

Oh look, another GT500 A/B video, cool. Buy, I mean, get some JBA A/B and I'll be interested. One of the best sounding A/B IMHO

I had them on my 06 which had JBA headers and h-pipe, sounded mean as hell. Just listening to the clips on AM of JBA makes me want them.

I checked the ones for the 5.0s and AM doesn't have a sound clip and the one review said

This product does not match up with factory exhaust and would have to be welded by a muffler shop. Tips stick out about 3 inches from the back. I would not recommended. Purchased Hush Power Flowmaster bolt on and it was perfect. American Muscle was great to do business with.

lol so it doesn't make me want to try those.. Course the person who installed them probably didn't know wtf they were doing though.

ok Jeff, you were right. The new axle back sounds beast. The other one was raspy at high rpm. It was just hard to tell in the car the other day.

I've been saying the ORX with GT500 axle backs is hands down the best sounding combo on the 2011 and up cars for two years now........

The Pipes sounds like ass to me. Once I took the cats off and did the mid section my Roush sounded shitty too. Guess that's why I have the gt500's now as well.

I'm going to have to take a listen to the JBA's, I don't think I have heard them. I would also like to find a clip of what those gt500's sound like with long tubes. I have been thinking about doing those for a while but the PITA install and $ to HP has kept me away.

Well that settles it, EVERY new 5.0 I've heard to date has that high pitched buzz sound mid RPM range.

The sound I am talking about is exactly at 0:23 in the first vid, can nobody get rid of that? lol 3v ftw.

The new 5.0 has to have a flaw somewhere. atleast its in the engine tone and not the engine like the 3v lol :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::moon::moon:

Sounds much better. I love my GT500 AB. I wish that it was a little more aggressive, but it sounds like long tube headers might change that. Will be looking into that.

Yeah the pype bombs and the roush exhaust sound good as the only exhaust mod, but with no cats, its just too much. And same here with the long tubes. They would be nice, but I'd probably gain around 15hp over the setup I have now... Not sure if it's worth the install or $$.

Exactly! lol :roflmao:

Thanks! Yeah I kind of wish it was more aggressive, but I may delete the resonators which would help. We'll see.

Much better than the pypes setup. Super Raspy before. Any drone from the new setup?

Yeah I agree. And nope no drone whatsoever. It's a HUGE difference on the inside of the car. It's even quieter than it was before with just the pype bombs and stock midpipe.
