New to the site! Picked up my 07 Black GT back in June. So far I'm loving it. I am originally from Long Island, but go to the University of Maryland, so I spend most of my time down here.

So far I've put in Borla Stingers, 3dCarbon Eleanor Grille, HIDs, Raxiom 2010 tails, spoilerstore gt500 spoiler, and my buddys gt500 wheels. Car already had a K&N intake on it.

Awaiting to install my BAMA 93 Tune, and remove the K&N and install the Steeda Carbon Fiber intake.

Can't wait to do more, this car has so much more potential than my old Cobalt SS/SC(which I got up to about 300 wheel)

Here are some pics with my buddy's GT500

Nice upgrade, and good looking GT! :thumb: However, do you have any close side shots of the GT500 (wheels)?

Also, did you ever run your Cobalt SS at the track? My sister's boyfriend has a practically stock '07 and continues wanting to race me.

I will look through some pictures and see if I can find some for you. They are True Forged Wheels, custom built...

I never got it to the track, but it should have run ~13.7...granted my SS was Stage 2 running 16lbs of boost, full 3inch exhaust, intake, etc. The car is light and quick, but the wheel hop was a bitch. From a roll I had pulled stock E46 M3s.

There is no way that a stock SS would keep up...unless it is an 08-Present (those are the Turbos) stock 260hp as opposed to the stock 205 of the supercharged. The newer turbo SS's really do move. but at the end of the day, it was still just a cobalt haha

How do you like your vortech? is it the HO or regular? I am really considering it because of the price!
It's a standard kit but I'm in the process of upgrading it to an air cooled vortech. So I guess it would be an HO once its done, I like it! I haven't had any issues with it. You can get a very good deal on the kit from Brenspeed.

Yea I was looking there, said it was like ~$3800 for the base kit. How much whp did you put down with it?

It definitely seems like a great bang for the buck, and since its my daily driver, it needs to reliable and drive able haha.

Any real difference with the Paxton? they look identical!

I haven't had the chance to dyno it but with 7psi from the stock 3.80" pulley is pretty quick. My upgrade comes with a 3.47" pulley, probably around 11-12psi I'll definitely get it dyno and tuned. Should make pretty decent numbers for a dd summer car. Yeah the paxton kits are the same with vortech.

Thats awesome man! I better start saving!

I wonder why the vortech and paxton kits are the same?
