my new hood the black primer will have to do till I can afford to pay my paint and body guy. do yall think it would look good flat black along with the rear deck spoiler & a cdc classic chin spoiler in flat black. opinions are always appreciated.

You need to be making 600+ hp to have that big of a cowl. ;) I'd leave it unpainted for now and see if you still like driving the car around with that thing blocking your vision in a month. Then I'd paint it, to me, leaving the hood unpainted makes the car look more like a beater.

Looks good man!! Go ahead and paint it...once you are use to it, you'll love the looks it gets.....

ya i have to agree.. cowl is to big for a DD thats just my opinion tho

If you are going to leave it black, get it painted with hotrod black or a satin black. That primer black will start to look grey soon if you leave it like that.

I don't think the flat black looks all that bad. Black chin spoiler would help the look. Maybe flat black between the tail lights. Never really been a fan of the flat black rear wing on the S197s.

And yea... you could get a nose bleed standing on top of that cowl

the primer is just a hold me over it will be painted either a satin, flat black or satin silver to match the car but i bought headers as well so no money for my body man right now.

I thought about this......Paint the hood silver to match the car, and do the sides of the cowl black.....

well I was quoted 800 from a buddy that owns a body shop.
thats a great deal then i was quoted for painting the top of the car black, clearing the whole car and not doing the stripe (i wanted a smoth surface with no edge) the pinstripe is basicly to covver that edge between colors.

i'll do black wrap on my car.
