the shifting issue @ high RPM is more likely the culprit of the remote mounted shifter. The engine/tranny torques over a bit and misaligns the shift path. Add a k-member with torque limiters from CHE and that will help a ton IMO.
This is what I was refering to Don, sorry. I've heard that changing the k member to a tubular one can mess with the handling of the car. Lighter is definately better for a straight line but I do alot of highway driving and really love the way this car handles and don't want to mess it up.
I'm into handling hardcore and whenever I can replace stamped steel with tubular cromoly it's a no brainer.
The car is much more rigid and handles much better with the BMR tubular K-Member than it did with the POS original unit.
This is only my personal opinion but I think the torque limiters on the K-Member brace are a bunch of horseshit.
I have the Steeda G-Trac brace which ties the 2 A arms together and it makes a difference in handling but with urethane engine mounts the torque limiters are not required.
