This is my second time out with my current setup. I went this past wednesday but alot of people broke so I was only able to get one good pass in. I ran a 12.95@109 with a 2.1 60'. I was happy but I knew I could do better. I went back sat. and the weather was beautiful for racing. The only prep I did to the car was basically remove my front sway which I didnt really get any benefit from this considering Im still learning how to launch the car. The tires on the back are 18" BFG drag radials which a friend gave to me so I figured its better than stock rubber. My first pass which was my best for the day and best ever was 12.6@111 with a 1.96 60'. I know I can improve on that because my launch was horrible. I think I need to bring the rpms up a little higher. Im so used to launching a fwd car its hard to switch up everything. Any tips or suggestions would be great. Thanks Brandon

I was there running my sons brown 86 gm pickup 12.10@111 W/1.67 60' and a guy I met last year was there with a 08GT with your same setup and 4.30 gears and a 17" mt dr.he's not a great driver because he's afraid of hurting his car.on his first pass he got his clutch heated up from not reving it up high enough in the burnout so he ran a 14something.I drove his car once last year and ask him if he wanted me to make a pass.I did a good burnout and left the line at 5000 but it bogged and still ran a [email protected] w/1.74 60'.so my point is just drive your car hard and not only will you go faster, but these cars are alot stronger than you might think.good luck and let her eat.lol

Oh ok yeah saw you there running. That pickup is def a sleeper man love it. Yeah I was getting on that guy about his run because he was saying that I wasnt doing good lol. Yeah your launch def looked a hell of alot better than mine did. I was brought the rpms up to about 3k and slipped the clutch. I bogged as well but alot worse lol.

Congrats on the new pb. Dump the clutch at 5500 next time.

I will sure try that. You think it will hook even though im running 18" bfgs? Also what tire pressure do you guys think would work the best.
