New Style Plugs and Coils

Using the 2008 and later heads with the 12mm spark plugs, will the earlier COPs (from 2007 and earlier) work with the newer heads and plugs?
Older heads are 3L3E, with newer heads 8L3E?

All references to plugs say to refer to the engineering number on your coils; if you don't have the coil packs, you can't do look what ec # is on them. But the heads are the newer designed heads, so they'll need the 12mm plugs.

its the same coil packs. i just put a set of 09 take off coil packs on my 05

Alex, no problem. We're both learning stuff as we go. Helluva lot better than stumbling across issues in the dark! I'd rather know about potential problems before coming across them the hard way. You're not freaking me out, not yet.

lol, if 09 coil packs will fit on an 05, then i'm pretty sure an 05 coil pack will fit on an 09

Lol. I don't know about you but I'm stumbling across a bed of fucking nails and this is my only car. I think beestang is getting a little tired of me always taking her car. I have a lot of to do.

Mac10, I guess I was thinking more along of if the older style will fit in the newer heads and has the same size connector to the newer 12mm spark plugs.


Lol Alex I was walking to the mailbox and thinking, doing a swap is a lot of f'n work just getting all the sh1t together and making things work. Well, not that bad; it's more effort getting things for the engine while it's being built-up.

So far my v6 is still in and running, as I'm trying to keep it all together as long as possible. Even so, it's not my primary daily driver, but is driven regularly, so being without will be a little bit of hassle as well. It'll be worth it though, when its all in
