Question, had both heads cams wipe the journals out making them junk unless I want to custom install bearings, which is actually a great solution should you tie up a bunch of money in the head and the journals gets scored again making your ported heads worthless.
Here is my question, LKQ has a core charge for mine of $450 for the long block....I am thinking about keeping it. The block is fine, heads are repairable should I want to tie up a bunch of money in cams and porting....I am thinking the bare block alone is worth $400.
Do you think I should keep engine? I am am not schooled on 4.6 3v alum block prices....
