It's a 'Chop of a Holden Commodore meant to look like a Monaro. Good looking car...but not a Mustang.

Regardless of any other changes Ford may make, they aren't going to do away with the basic shape of the unmistakable fixed rear windows on the Mustang. The only slight hint of this car possibly resembling a Mustang is the triple section tail lights. Nothing else about it resembles a Mustang.

That was the Holden Coupe 60 concept car. It was basically a reskinned Camaro / two door G8.

Definitely not a Mustang.

Agreed, I wrote the editor and told him how clueless they were. Ford design manager said the 2015 would be nothing like the S197. It's certainly not a 2012 mustang with a new bumper and tail lights.

I personally don't see an issue if they offer the ecoboost as an engine choice but they MUST still have a V8 on the list.
