Preordered my Xbox One on Friday from Gamestop. Anyone else?
THANK YOU RYAN!! The used game/DRM is 100% in the publishers control. Sony doesn't have shit for control over it.
Just preordered the Day One Edition right off xbox live.
I dont buy used, I dont borrow games, im not afraid of microsoft seeing me lay the pipe in my living room.
you cant share games on xbox one. you have to connect to the internet once every 24 hours OR YOUR GAMES WONT WORK! that to me is some bullshit. so if your internet goes down for a few days it becomes a paperweight. I personally love the 360 and dont really care for the PS3, but microsoft wont be able to compete if they keep this up.

And I cant wait for all the pitchfork wielding nut-swinging fan boys to get all bent when a 3rd party publisher sticks them with DRM. It really felt like this years E3 was more BS postering by Sony and MS being transparent than anything. I can't believe how much misinformation is out there about the XB1. I'm personally excited the direction they are pushing digital content libraries. I cant share my steam library with anyone...but I will my XB1. Here is a great link that really clears up some misinformation. Feel free to spread it.

I personally have em both Preordered on my Best Buy CC since its my only credit card and was sitting at Zero. I preordered both as the links went live and figured I'd decide which to keep later knowing damn well I'll probably keep em both.

You are sorely misinformed. You can share your game with up to 10 people whose email you put on your share list. Simple as that.Just preordered the Day One Edition right off xbox live.

+1
If they wanna see me hang around gaming in my boxers and occasionally tug the monkey, have at it.
^ This. And occasionally me giving the Mrs. a hot beef injection.
Sigh... Click the reddit link I posted...
In the 9 years I've had my xbox... It has been connected to the Internet near 100%. My wife and I would skimp on groceries before missing an Internet payment. Even when we moved, simply letting the cable company know when and where we were moving we were never disconnected. Sharing games with close friends will be easier than ever. Yes,even easier than on ps4. That joke video had an asterisk added to it at a small press conference. It said this easy sharing was true only for first party titles, but third party publishers will do what they want. On xb1, If I have installed game to my system, and I'm not playing it, a close friend could go right into my library and play it...
Face it. The market is moving forward. Steam is making good money with its discless purely digital service. Others want in.
Seriously.... Click the reddit link. It clears up a lot of the misinformation floating around the Internet.

I still can't decide which system to get. Haven't read up too much about each one but I'll have to check out that link posted above.
Xbox One and PS4 both pre-ordered on Amazon.Preordered my Xbox One on Friday from Gamestop. Anyone else?
Online play on PS4 will require a subscription to PS+ ($50 a year) now as well. Hopefully that will push them to upgrade their servers since anytime I download something from PSN on the PS3 it takes FORFUCKINGEVER!Sony can't innovate, they simply give free crappy service and same platform with updated graphics, cool. Y'all keep your crappy Sony servers.
That might be changing going off of what was found in the recent Steam beta:I cant share my steam library with anyone...but I will my XB1.
The main difference with the comparison to Steam is that when Steam came into existence the retail market for PC games was all but dead whereas the retail market for console games is far from it.Face it. It uses Connected Standby, so it's kind of like your smartphone receiving email while you're not actively using it. It is in a low power state and sends a heartbeat to the Xbox Live servers to authenticate. The part about being connected to internet everyday, does that mean we have to use the system everyday or once you set it up with internet its good to go?
