The trans will probably be fine although it's still not a good idea to spray through the gears. Your bigger concern without a window switch would be spraying at too low of an rpm. The rods can't take too much of that.

I'd just hate to see you do something to either the motor or trans and come back here and say you're going to get a camaro(you already mentioned it) cuz of that. That car would have the same issues without the proper precautions.

i like the stang but i don't like how 100 shot is basicly the limit of the stock components. LS1 cars can spray 125 all day long and the tranny has no issues neither does the engine, my uncle has 1999 trans am, stock shortblock that has never even been dis-assembled, stock automatic with a yank 3000 stall, and the car has other bolt ons but runs 11.80s on the motor and he can spray 100 shot and be in the 10's. While i have my mustang and 100 shot is the safety barrier, i know some have gone more but 100 is all i want or even should need.

I know but there's a difference between a WS6 and a 4000lb camaro. Those things are light. I am surprised his rear end is holding up on those kind of launches though. You'd be fine spraying a 125 shot. You just gotta do it the right way man.

if you are basing the camaro specs from your uncle let me tell you something.all my track buddies have 01 to 02s camaros ss or z 28s, im the outcast with a mustang from the bunch.my closest friend from them has an 02 ss with cams,full exhaust and a 125 shot.so far he has been through 2 built transmission and 5 differentials.


my uncle has only had his tranny rebuilt because he wanted it done and that was right after he bought the car.

and at that what are you going to tell me about the car that i dont know??

not to be a jerk but I would think a ws6 with a 100shot should run faster then that.....I have a good friend that i sold my 10sec 2v to that has a fireturd and he ran 10.6s with minor bolt ons and 150 shot on drag radials..... oh and he blew the motor...smoked the rearend and the trans took a crap all in the same season...... all while my 2v ran 10.4s at 130 with the stock unported heads...stock shortblock and only 10psi of boost from a novi 2k and the only thing I broke was a belt tensioner .... now my car was no where near a street car... one is not better then the other both the F-bodys and mustangs have there pros n cons

there is little difrence between WS6 and a camaro, maybe 300lbs if that, my uncles car wasn't originaly a WS6 he made it a clone and it runs the same numbers as a real WS6, in the video i posted the black duramax is my buddy jason, that truck is stock with a tune and it used to beat my stock non tuned mustang gt. best my car went stock was 13.71 @ 99 now that truck has a lip pump and a new 12 sec tune and it still runs with my car. Anyway off subject a little, i have read it would be ok at 125 but that is getting real close to danger. Im going to add a purge soon and this weekend i can get my other bottle and gauge so i can tell whats going on with it. Im betting it is a night and day difference with the bottle pressure where it needs to be. I looked at the window switches and really seen them to be pointless since i want to spray off the line.

sounds like he had some bad luck considering the car in the video has been running that was for 5 years straight now. oh and he drives it on the street to and from the track also, 2 hrs there and 2 hrs back. I have seen 10psi on stock stuff, your braver than i with 100 shot.

nothing brave about what I did... I could have cared less if the motor went...I wanted to push the limits..

I seen 10psi at 6k but some races I was shifting near 6700 even 7000 a few times.... if I would have kept the car I was going to shoot for 9s on the stock stuff but I wanted something to drive everyday and have fun without having to load up the trailer and all that crap

dont get me wrong the shortblock n heads were the only things stock on the car lol

i just think they would have designed the car with it in mind that people are going to put a little spray on the motor and maybe make the rods a little stronger. Yes i know i can buy a rotating assembly but i would rather not do that for just 100 shot, Now if i put a turbo on this i would expect some major upgrades.

old foxbody's for example the 5.0's from like 86 to 91 were forged internals. guess ford decided that was too convenient for us the end user LOL

i may go this weekend, weather permitting and next weekend is a possible not 100% yet but the following i will be there for sure
