So I would have never known this if I wasn't messing around with an app on my phone called dash command which connects to my OBD via a bluetooth device I plug in.

On the diagnostic section it says pending code P2198 Oxygen Sensor (Bank 2 Sensor 1) Stuck Rich.

Don't know how long that has been going on but I never actually got a CEL about it.
I've done some research on it, even here and someone always got a check engine light with it but PENDING and never getting the CEL? never seen that.

Does it mean it's really not an issue or something? I do have cams and they do run a little rich at idle is that why? possibly bad o2 sensor even though they are only 2 years old since I put the long tubes on.

Maybe because you used margarine...

Anyways, this is what I pulled from Actron:

OBD II Pending Codes are also referred to as “continuous monitor” and “maturing codes”. An intermittent fault will cause the computer to store a pending code in memory. If the fault does not recur within 40 warm-up cycles, the code will be cleared from memory. If the fault recurs a specific number of times, the code will then mature into a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) and the MIL or “check engine” light will turn on.

So it seems pending doesn't always mean bad, but if the fault happens enough times, it will throw the CEL. My dad's Camaro (OBD I and 1 O2 Sensor for the car) would have the CEL come on randomly. Sometimes it would come on as the car started, sometimes only when it was on the highway for a good period of time, other times it wouldn't come on at all. Just replacing it stopped the CEL. However, O2 sensors for those were like $20.

That's great info I didn't know that about pending codes, thanks homie!
I guess it's not too much to worry about then, I am going to clear it and try to keep an eye on when it happens, I do suspect the idle of being rich but the car runs great!
