Did your clutches feel at all off before they failed? Or did they just stop working without warning?

Mine slowly starting feeling "spongy" then it failed.

On an update. I was promised parts yesterday they did not arrive. So I guess I will have to nag Ford Customer Service again.

I have one of these replacement clutches here in stock. If any of you guys can't get your dealer to locate one, I have one available.

so now that the new clutch came in, was installed, had the pedal sticking issue i took the car back and they are ordering the new pedal assembly, and the car goes back when the pedal shows up.. SOO since ive had my car back the check engine light came on (blinking) then stopped. Also (at a seperate time) the car went into a limp mode while i was driving in 3rd gear to get on the highway and there is HUGE loss in power, and the wrench light in the tack comes on, if i turn the car off, and then turn it back on the light goes off, and the car runs fine. when i took the car back the other day i had them do the relearn porcedure on it, and i thought everything was fine now. i have since put a old/different tune on the car in hopes of it NOT doing the limp mode thing again, well lastnight it did it w/ the different tune and CAI on as well. does anyone know WTF is causing this? im pretty sure that if i put the stock tune back in the car, and the stock intake and filter that it will do it again as well? this seems to ALWAYS happen in 3rd gear while not really getting on it.. just easing into it.. but i cant get it to happen when i want it to.. IF i leave the car running can i plug my SCT in and get a code for what is putting it in the limp mode? Everyday this car seems to piss me off more and more.. it NEVER did this before the clutch swap, but has done it 4 times in the past 5-6 days AFTER the relearn procedure.. ??

my friends 2010 did that and I think it was a tune error.

it cant be the tune on my car because i have put 2 different tunes in it, and had the same result. The car now has the stock CAI and stock tune on it to see if it does the same shit again.. and im betting that it will. I think its something todo w/ the clutch or crank trigger somehow because this car ran BEAUTIFUL w/ both of these tunes that it has been acting up w/ now after the clutch swap.

When they did the re learn did they re flash your PCM? Did your strategy code change? Your tune may need to be updated.

-i dont know if they reflashed the PCM, i would think that they would. doesnt a "relearn procedure" include resetting the PCM?
-Strategy code is the same.
-why would my tunes need to be updated? i have a dynotune and a BBR tune. I took the dyno tune out, and put the BBR tune in and still the same hiccup causing the limp mode. I now have taken the Airaid CAI off, put the stock air box back on w/ the stock tune, and it hasnt done it yet, but i just did the swap lastnight.

I know when they did mine they re flashed the PCM and my strategy code changed. But if yours is the same not sure why your tunes aren't working. Have you contacted John at bbr and asked him?

I havent contacted anyone yet, because these tunes worked great all the time for over 3k miles each until the clutch got swapped.. now all the sudden on both tunes the car goes into limp mode in 3rd gear, and throws the wrench light on, while under easy-mild acceleration. . which would lead me to think its the car not the tune.
The car goes back for the pedal swap next monday, Im HOPING that the problem will happen again over the weekend on the stock parts/tune and i can just pull over and MAYBE get a code. I think I might tell them to do the re-learn procedure again, and reflash EVERYTHING (if they didnt do everything before) and then go from that starting point. Will my tunes need to change at all after the re-learn wheather the strategy code changes or not?
The car was doing the samething before AND after the relearn.. but ONLY after the clutch swap.. never before that.

Is it possible they aren't doing the re learn correct?

i called John, he said it was wierd that there isnt a new strategy code after a relearn process. So i will be requesting and ENTIRE PCM reflash be done when i drop the car off Monday for the pedal swap. I think the strategy code will change, and if it does, i will just give him a call back and get a new/revised tune. and hopefully the car will run correctly after i get it back. as for now im still trying to get it to do the limp mode thing over the weekend so ican try to get a code from it if possible.. but i dont think i will be able to since the CE light never comes on, only the wrench.

That's kinda what I thought. If they reflash the PCM your strategy code should change.
ive been reading around on the different forums and found out that when that wrench light comes on and the car does go into a "limp mode" the TPS or the throttle body is bad.. go figure right? ANOTHER part to fail on this car.:deadhorse:
