Hey yall, figured this should go under Keeping it Clean

Okay, I removed the side stripes on my CS, one side came off just fine, but the other side--- ah well I got it off, and got the majority of the goop off with GooGone and GoofOff. BUT there is still what seems to be a very fine residue on it. I ran my hand over the area, but it feels smooth but you can see the residue when the light catches it at an angle. I know Dan did something like this but on his two center stripes, I think this stuff is held on with a different adhesive. Any advice?

Thanks

You sure it is the residue and not just non weathered paint?

well its not weathered paint. Im getting more and more of it off, its still just super fine, little dots haha. Texas heat got to the adhesive

Im letting some more Googone+WD40 mix set on it for a while. No discoloration after removal of the mix, and it seems to work really well.

Try some Rapid Remover.

I uses this stuff all the time when I worked at a sign shop.

I have a gallon in my garage.
