Oil In Intercooler Pipes (Paxton 2200)

Do any of you guy using the Paxton 2200 get oil in your intercooler and piping? At one point i had to take everything apart and clean it all out.. I do not have breathers or oil separator .. Every once in a while i do get a small puff of smoke out the back.. I assume this is blow by...

Yes, before installing a separator, I had a lot of oil in the intake. It could cause problems for you.

The UPR oil separator works great, looks great, and is easy to install.

That's normal until you either get an oil separator, breathers, or a catch can setup. It actually drips onto the garage floor when it sits for a couple weeks.

I don't know the Novi setup, but if there's a hose from the air intake to the valve cover as part of the pcv setup, that can suck in oil under boost, too. (seen it on my Vortech centri setup as well.)

Putting a filter in between keeps that earl out.

IMO, get a cheapy filter you can replace once a year, as it will get clogged. Or use a good quality oil coalescing filter to really keep it all clean.

Once in a while I got small amounts from the procharger too.. I need to get something in there later
