Hey fellas, got a weird squeak/squeal coming from the rear end of my 05. It only does it when cold, under 25mph, off of a load (coasting with clutch in, or in neutral). It does not do it at higher speeds, nor after about 2-3 miles or driving. I just redid my pinion seal, install went flawless and the correct synthetic fluid w/modifier was used. I had been making a howl from the rear end but it was due to it being low on fluid because of the pinion seal leak.
I have put about 400 miles on the car since the seal was replaced. No leaks, no loud howl, no vibrations. The wife and I came up to Vegas from SoCal to visit some family and I noticed the noise the morning after we arrived.
I am thinking the calipers or rear pads may be sticking because of the cool weather, or it could be something bad. Just find it odd that it does it at low speeds and it goes away after some miles and heat. Anyone ever have this before? Looking for piece of mind before I head back. Thanks fellas!!!
